Rock City PTFAO

Rock City dropped a new album on the 4th of July called PTFAO (Put The Fucking Album Out). I don't normally like rap music, but I must say I do enjoy their music. A little about them: They're a musical duo from the Virgin Islands. They have written hits for Mario, Jennifer Hudson, and Janet Jackson. Most recently they have been in the lab pinning more hits for my girl Toni Braxton. If you still need help figuring out who they are, any time you hear that signature line "Right About Now" on a track, it's from my boys Rock City! So now that you know Rock City, give them some love. Follow the Rock City brothers on twitter @R_City and @RockCityVI. They're real cool peeps and they actually connect with their fans unlike most of the other celebs on twitter.

Download PTFAO for free here.

Michael Jackson 1958 - 2009

Michael Jackson, the show-stopping singer whose best-selling albums -- including "Off the Wall, "Thriller" and "Bad" -- and electrifying stage presence made him one of the most popular artists of all time, died Thursday, CNN has confirmed.

He was 50.

He collapsed at his residence in the Holmby Hills section of Los Angeles, California, about noon Pacific time, suffering cardiac arrest, according to brother Randy Jackson. He died at UCLA Medical Center.

Lt. Fred Corral of the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office said an autopsy would probably be done on the singer Friday, with results expected that afternoon

Michael Jackson will NEVER be forgotten for his outstanding contributions to music across the world!

The Lost Child

Please download (for free) a short piece of fiction I've written for Nextwords 2009 by the CalArts MFA Writing students featuring your boy Jai Brandon. The title of the piece is called "The Lost Child." It was written in my undergrad days and revised my first year at CalArts during a short fiction class taught by Vanessa Place. Click here to download. You can also purchase a hard copy on the website if you'd like. Fiction isn't my specialty (as I am an actor/performance writer) but I enjoyed the process. I had the opportunity to have a reading of this as RedCat and it received a pretty good response from the audience. Enjoy!

Introducing Me: Keyshia Cole Style

I am finally done with school!!!! Done with Morehouse 2 years ago where I received my BA in Art. Done with the California Institute of the Arts this past month where I was just awarded my Master's of Fine Art. Now it's time to introduce myself to the real world. No longer a student! I'm just an Actor/Writer working my way "From The Bottom Up." But what better way would there be than to introduce myself with a song from an artist I enjoy. Keyshia Cole! You'll learn more about me along the way. Until then. Enjoy Miss Cole.
